The creation of the model was an accumulation of the leader’s experiences, their challenges, highlights of engagement. In the pursuit to create change in their lives and business, we look at how the light and dark side of our behavior revolves.
The Naruna logo was inspired by the New Zealand Koru, Koru is the Māori word for ‘loop’. The spiral-shaped koru design graphically represents an unfolding silver fern frond.
The circular movement towards an inner coil refers to ‘going back to the beginning’. The unfurling frond itself is symbolic of a new life, new beginnings, a new start, and hope.
When you look at creating lasting change, following this model, can also become your success formula. Here is an abbreviated guide to our path to success in change management :
“Never be a prisoner of your past, it was just a lesson, not a life sentence” Robin Sharma
Building a powerful sense of self-awareness relating to how you see yourself, how you think others perceive you, your strengths, growth opportunities, and core driving values. This is at the heart of conscious leadership. Connect with your strengths, embrace growth opportunities and gain clarity on your core values and purpose. Here you will also be able to gain clarity on core leadership competencies, and determine where any gaps are, for future learning opportunities.
“It’s not enough that you change. You have to become a wave of change” Vijay Eswaren
This phase takes courage as we move from awareness to action, source the best possible resources to support yourself and build inner knowledge to overcome your leadership challenges. We will explore blocks and barriers towards change and at the same time create your blueprint game plan, steps to get the best possible results.
“After climbing a great hill, one only finds that there are many more hills to climb.” Nelson Mandela
Change only happens when there is action, so here the focus is on creating clear actions with your executive coach focused on reinforcing behaviors and aligning action to specific goals. At this phase, you are aware of what needs to change, the benefit of that change and understand how great leaders inspire action. We will develop the tools and resources you need, and find out who is going to help you to be accountable along the way.
“The only limit to your impact is your imagination and commitment” Anthony Robbins
When you make it here, the sun begins to shine! Your commitment means you have shifted to action, and you have opened yourself to the opportunity of lasting change. The impact will be witnessed by many: your direct reports, your peer group, your friends, and your family. The change and leadership commitment will have an impact on many different aspects. We will define what exactly, revenue, cost, quality, innovation, work habits and more.
“There is more hunger for love and appreciation in this world than for bread” Mother Teresa
This stage of the model isn’t an endpoint, but rather the start of a new beginning. You will have the opportunity to apply for an Advanced Diploma or a Diploma in Leadership and Management, based on the evidence collected along your growth journey, we call this recognized prior learning (RPL)
Remember at Naruna, we are not about changing your personality, rather seeking ways to become a more effective leader. Prepare for a journey, where the only direction is forward, by recognizing strengths, changing behaviors that sometimes get in the way, aligning values, and taking the best possible course of action.
